Developed for demanding applications and high accuracy
The Fortus 380mc 3D production system comes in two configurations: the basic system, with build envelope of size 355 x 254 x 254 mm (14 x 10 x 10 in.), or an optionally upgraded system with build envelope as large as 406 x 355 x 406 mm (16 x 14 x 16 in.). It additionally features two material bays for maximum uninterrupted production. Availability of four layer thicknesses enables you to fine-tune your desired balance between FDM’s finest possible feature detail and the fastest build. Fortus 380mc throughput is 70 percent higher than on the Fortus 250mc, so you can further compress your design cycle, work iteratively and increase production.

Special facility requirements:
Insight software will prepare your CAD program’s STL output for 3D manufacturing on a Fortus machine by automatically slicing and generating support structures and paths for material extrusion. For enhanced control, users can manually edit parameters that determine the looks, strength and precision of parts as well as the speed and material use of the FDM process.
With Insight, you can
Bundled with Insight is Control Center. Insight’s sophisticated software application communicates with user workstations and Fortus systems, to manage jobs and monitor production status. Design, engineering and manufacturing teams can network and share 3D manufacturing capacity to maximize efficiency and throughput.
