It was pleasure to visit our Principals Artec3D, at Asian Attractions Expo 2015 recently, which is owned and produced by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions at Hong Kong where Artec 3D was one of the key exhibitor displaying Shapify. Artec Shapify Booth is a 3D body scanning and 3D selfie creating automated System.

With the proliferation of front-facing cameras in smartphones, Selfies have become a mainstream social phenomenon which is creating a trend of 3D Printed Selfies  or Custom Figurines with the help of 3D Scanning & 3D Printing Technologies.


You can get yourself scanned within 10 – 15 secs as soon as you stand in the Shapify booth. Data is then sent to the cloud solution which processes this file within 3 – 5 minutes. I myself experienced this & had a 3D printable data within 5 minutes of my entry into Shapify booth!!. This printable data can be later used for 3D printing your figurine using colour 3D Printers like Connex3 Series Systems from Stratasys sold by Altem, based out of Bangalore in India.




Artec Shapify overtakes photogrammetry or any other scanning solution with only 15 minutes of automated cloud computing to create a 3D printable figurines in color. With the interactions I had with many of the Indian visitors to Artec stall, I feel many of them see a huge opportunity in the custom figurine market, we are already started receiving enquires Shapify in India and  I will not be surprised if you see these Shapify 3D Scanning booths in near future at the entrance of our premier malls like Phoenix City, InOrbit, Select Citiwalk, Orion shopping malls etc… in places like New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore , Kolkata , Chennai etc
